Why a Website
Why does my business need a website?
Most people look a business up online before calling or visiting. A website gives customers a dependable place to find your hours, services, and contact information—and helps your business look established and easy to trust.
Do I still need one if I already have a Facebook page?
Yes. Social media is useful, but you do not own the platform or control who sees your posts. Your website is a permanent, professional home for your business that can appear in Google search and is available to everyone.
How is this different from using Wix or Squarespace myself?
With a do-it-yourself platform, you are still the designer, writer, troubleshooter, and maintenance team. Black Sand Digital handles the work for you—from the first layout through hosting and future edits.
Simple and predictable
Pricing & Plans
What is included in the $29 monthly plan?
Managed hosting, security updates, backups, uptime monitoring, and minor content edits. It is designed so you do not have to manage the technical side of your website.
What does the $100 website fee cover?
It covers the design and launch of your website, including initial copy based on your intake answers. The required $29 hosting and care plan begins with your order, making the standard total $129 at checkout.
Is there a contract or long-term commitment?
There is no long-term contract. You can cancel the monthly plan according to the service terms, without hidden charges beyond the services you approve.
What counts as a minor edit?
Examples include changing business hours, a phone number, a photo, or a short section of text. New pages, redesigned sections, and larger functionality changes are quoted separately.
Can I add more pages or features later?
Absolutely. Additional pages and upgrades—such as booking, online stores, copywriting, photography, or local SEO—can be added whenever your business is ready.
From intake to launch
Process & Timeline
How long does it take to launch my website?
Your first website preview is normally ready within seven days after we receive your completed intake and the materials needed to begin.
What do I need to provide?
Complete the intake with the basics about your services, customers, service area, and style. Add any photos or brand assets you already have. We will guide you if anything important is missing.
Do I need to write my own content?
No. We create the initial website copy from your intake answers. You review it and can request changes before the website goes live.
What if I want changes before launch?
You will review a private preview and submit your revision requests before publishing. The included revision round is designed to bring the content and presentation into alignment.
How many revision rounds are included?
One complete revision round is included before launch. Additional revision rounds are available as an add-on if you want to keep exploring new directions.
Your business, your content
Ownership & Flexibility
Do I own my website content?
Your original text, photos, and business information remain yours, and you may reuse them elsewhere at any time.
What happens if I cancel my plan?
We will follow the cancellation terms, let you know before managed hosting ends, and provide a reasonable opportunity to make other arrangements for your content and domain.
Can I move to a different host later?
Yes. Your business content is not held hostage. If you decide to move, we will help make the transition as orderly as possible under the service terms.
